The major roads that provide access to the area include I-8, I-15, and I-805. Bicycling has become a popular means of transportation in San Diego, and the temperate climate makes this an easy choice year round. The city features an extensive network of routes specifically for bicycles. San Diego has even recently been named as the best US city for cycling with populations over 1 million. Other modes of transport in San Diego include the trolley, bus, Sprinter, Coaster and Amtrak. The trolley mainly serves downtown and its immediate communities. Amtrak and Coaster trains connect San Diego to Los Angeles and beyond through the Metrolink. There are two Amtrak stations in the city, located in downtown and in Old Town. Residents can find out information about San Diego transportation by dialing "511". Air travel to and from San Diego is done primarily thought the San Diego International Airport.
